Kuah

The main town in Langkawi. One stop for all visitors to the island is a stroll through Lagenda Park and the obligatory photo at Eagle Square!

Jetty

Daily ferries leave all year around from Jetty Point to Mainland Malaysia ( Kuala Perlis / Kuala Kedah), Penang and Satun,Thailand. In High Season there is also an additional popular ferry to the Thai island of Koh Lipe.

Banking Area

A small square with a large range of banks. Around the square you will also find a variety of Duty Free shops, souvenir shops and a few excellent food courts.

Shopping Malls

Langkawi Fair and Langkawi Parade are the main shopping malls. Don't expect too much. Both have reasonable supermarkets and a range of shops. Langkawi Fair also houses the local Cinema. There are various other shopping areas doted around Kuah. Pekan Rabu relatively new and growing the attraction here is mostly the large household store Ram.  Langkawi Mall not a mall but a street! Large Indian dept store , a mix of businesses, restaurants and small shops also found here.
